Welcome to Funkatron, a huge homebrew world that's part fishing game, part open world explorer, and part living map.
Wander an illustrated realm on foot, or take to the skies. Cast a line into hundreds of fishing hotspots, each with its own regional catch, from Weam Lake and the Thunder Coast to the Waka Waka Reef and the deep abyss. Most days you will reel up something ordinary. Some days you will hook a legend.
Gather hundreds of resources across the land: beans, cremes, berries, ores, glowing mushrooms, and stranger things besides. Haul your finds back to a capital to bank them, fill out your Fish Log, chase down the one of a kind trophy catches, and climb the leaderboard.
Scattered across the map are pins worth chasing. Some carry the lore and hidden history of the planet. Others are doorways to the rest of what I, TC Poole, have made: a full world building tool suite, the place-a-grave mini game, a set of free VTuber avatars, and a long trail of odd secrets I would rather you stumble into than have explained.
The whole world runs on one shared clock, so every traveler sees the same thing at the same time. Hotspots open and close. Weather rolls through. And overhead, three moons turn at their own speeds: Vreisa, the Dancing Eye, who steadies the timing of the tides; Plecidar, the Hum of Secrets, who stirs the deep water and the caverns; and Numa, the Shadow Giggle, the chaos moon, rarely seen and never trusted. When a moon rides full, the fishing changes. When all three align, everything does.
Press C to open the Funkatron Almanac. It reads the sky for you, marks the festivals and holidays of the year, and spells out exactly what each one is doing to the world: which waters are biting, which resources are coming in fat, and when the next live stream starts.
Sail the same skies as other travelers in a persistent multiplayer world with live chat. Nodes belong to whoever reaches them first, so you are genuinely out there together.
It is a labor of love, still growing. Homebrew is the best brew.
